Lieutenant Joseph Rogers, son of Thomas Rogers and Hannah Unknown

Joseph came to New England on the Mayflower, with his father. He married and had children. [OPP, 446]
In 1644 the Court granted land to "those that goe to dwell at Nausett [Eastham]." Joseph was an early settler of Eastham and his name appears on a 22 May 1655 list of inhabitants. [FSE]

i. Sarah Rogers was born on 6 August 1633 and died on 15 August 1633.
ii. Joseph Rogers was born on 19 July 1635. He died from a fall from his horse on 27 January 1660/1 in Eastham. [WMR] He married Susanna Deane. She married second Stephen Snow.
On 8 May 1674 Thomas Rogers of Eastham, the heir of his deceased brother Joseph Rogers of Eastham, transferred to his "loveing sister" Susanna Snow, the late wife of his brother Joseph, and her husband Stephen Snow, all his right in his brother's estate. [PCD]
iii. Thomas Rogers was born on 29 March 1638. He married Elizabeth Snow
iv. Elizabeth Rogers was born on 29 September 1639. She married Jonathan Higgens on 9 January 1660. [FSE]
v. John Rogers was born on 3 April 1642.
John was admitted an inhabitant of Eastham before 1675. [FSE]
John Rogers, Sr. of Eastham, "now Striken in years" wrote his will on 27 April 1713. He mentioned his sons John, Judah, Joseph, Eleazer, and Nathaniel Rogers, his daughters Elizabeth, Hannah and Mehitable Rogers, his grandson John Rogers and his wife Elizabeth. Inventory on his estate was exhibited on 10 August 1714 and his will was proved on 21 September 1714. [will]
vi. Mary Rogers was born on 22 September 1644.
vii. James Rogers was born on 18 August 1648. He died in 1678. [ASG] He married Mary Paine on 11 January 1670. [ASG]
viii. Hannah Rogers was born on 8 August 1652.
